What are you recording in your mind? What records do you keep stored in your mind? Do you record times that make you happy or that make you sad? Do you store words or encouragement or degradation?
You may record all, a little or a lot of it, but let’s see what God says…think about what’s true, honest, fair, pure, lovely and of a good report. We have to work on what we record and store in our minds. Don’t allow terrible things to replay over and over again. They happen to all of us, but we can control what we hold on to and continue to think about.
The Bible goes on to tell us that if we think about God, Himself, he will keep us in perfect peace. That doesn’t mean that life will feel wonderful all of the time. That means that we will be able to go through the hard times without falling down.
Clean the slate and start recording things differently in your mind. Begin today, begin now. Record all of the wonderful things that God says about you. He loves you, sent His Son, Jesus to die for you. He’s preparing an awesome eternity for you. He thoughts about you are for your success. He wants you to prosper even as your soul prospers. He wants you to have life abundantly and He wants to give you perfect peace.
Philippians 4:8 – Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Isaiah 26:3 – Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
