Today, as a part of #summerpsalms, we are reading the 31st Psalm. The writer, David, prays for protection in this chapter. He acknowledges that only God can save, rescue and protect him.
What do you need protection from? People, things, sickness, poverty, pain rejection, disappointment, abuse, etc.
God can protect you. It is up to us to trust Him with our issues. Here’s a way to look at it. A rose is beautiful but in order to carry that beauty away with you, you must break it away from the thicket. You must cut the branch. That doesn’t hurt you unless you get pricked by a thorn, but there is a tear in that branch. In order to trust God, we must tear ourselves away from the (our) norm. It is a process that we feel.
