I Still Say, “Thank You”!

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18(KJV)
How can we say, “Thank You God”, about everything?  In my head, I hear voices saying,
But I feel so sad.
Nothing is working out for me.
I hate my life.
I don’t like how I’m treated.
I don’t know what to do.
I don’t know where to go.
I’m lost.
I have nothing.
Everything’s gone.
Everyone’s gone.
So how can I say, “Thank You God”?
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (KJV)
Allow your faith to let this sink in.  Every.single.thing in your life is working for your good.  The roadblocks that you’ve experienced were and are lessons to help you get to where you are going.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 (KJV)
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art here: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. Psalm 139:8 (KJV)
For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11 (KJV)
You CAN still say “Thank You God”, Thank You Lord”!  I’ll tell you why.  Things didn’t work out, but certain other things have worked out just right.  Everything doesn’t feel good right now, but you’ve felt good in your life and you will feel good again.  That problem hurt you real bad, but today you can lift your head up and say, “Thank You Lord”, because you aren’t hurting now.  Trust God to bring you through your situations.
Thank Him for what He’s about to do in your life!
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)

Yes, You Can Bear It!

1 Corinthians 10:13
Yes, You Can Bear It!
To read the entire context of this scripture, go back and read verses 1-18.  The scripture begins talking about people who became “caught up”, so to speak, in their situations.
Our Attitudes and Opinions
No matter what happens in our lives and we form an opinion and attitude towards the circumstance.  It can be minor or major.  We either like it or dislike it.  Either way, it is our attitudes and our actions that produce the outcome of every situation that we encounter.

I know that that last sentence may have caught you off guard, it’s okay.  Keep reading, I’ll make it clearer as we go on.  You see, just like in the first 11 verses of 1 Corinthians, Chapter 10, the actions of the Israelites placed them in a worse position than they started in.  There are times when we say and do things that place us in in terrible positions and when we look back we realize that there was another way to have handled things.  Verse 6 says, “these things were our examples”.  They continue to be examples for us.
What Can I Bear?
If you are anything like me, you are doing your best to live this life.  With all that you put in (even with room for improvement), it seems as though there are times when everything on earth that can go wrong, just goes WRONG.  What do you do when this happens?  Is this your life now?  If so, what are you doing now?  What did you do the last time your life was in the holding pattern or worse, sliding down into a bottomless pit?
This is where the scripture brings us.  First, in verse 12, we are warned to be careful, because we all have the ability to fall.  We all mess up, we all get it wrong sometimes.  Stop thinking, “I got this”, that thinking will cause you to fall.  Verse 13, tell us that God gives us a way of escape so that you can bear all that you are going through.
That escape is God, Himself.  He is the Great I AM!  The beginning and the end.  He loves you more than anyone on this earth and has a plan for your life so that you succeed, Jeremiah 29:11.
The Point!
Don’t fall in the trap of your situation.  Stop and think about what you are going through.  Don’t argue, don’t get depressed, don’t fight, don’t ignore the situation.  Look to your God, Who has made a way of escape for you.  Does that mean that you won’t deal with the situation?  Of course not.  This means that there is a way for you to deal with the situation and you won’t regret it tomorrow.  You will be able to handle the situation with peace of mind and it won’t overtake you.  The problem will go away in its own time, but it won’t consume you.  When you let God give you your escape the outcome is in YOUR FAVOR, yes, it works out for YOUR GOOD!

Yes, You CAN Bear It!

1 Corinthians 10:13 New Living Translation (NLT)

13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

Acts 4:29-31
“No Fear”
How is God dealing with you in this area?

These believers had just witnessed Peter and John getting thrown into prison and even though, they were released at this time, the people were afraid of what would happen to them.
They took their problem (their fear) to God and left it right there!  What would happen in our lives if we trusted God with everything that we are unsure about?  How would things turn out if we asked and trusted God for the miraculous to happen in Jesus’ name.
After their prayer the place shook and they were able to proceed with boldness.
I want to see your confidence and your boldness.
Will you give God the issue and trust Him to do the miraculous today?

Acts 4:29-31(NLT)

29 And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. 30 Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

31 After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.

Faith & Patience

We look everywhere for a quick schemes.  Get-rich quick, lose weight quick, learn quick, etc.  We are living in a “microwave” age where we want everything Quick.Fast. and in a Hurry.

We live in a “microwave” age.

In the book of James, the 1st chapter, it’s a lot different.  Here we are told that we are going to experience troubles.  We are told to have joy while we experience these problems because it is a testing of our faith.  Trust is believing and knowing without a shadow of doubt that God will come through.  Faith requires patience.  Patience means wait a while.  The while doesn’t have a timer, it can be fast or slow, but waiting definitely comes with the territory.  It’s important while we faithfully wait to believe and stay focused on the goal.

We absolutely can not be double minded. We must have faith and be patient when we ask anything of God. For example, to ask God for a house, you have to believe God for the house. If you turn around and say, “I’ll never get a house”, you’re faith is not in action. If you ask God to help you and then you do things your own way, this is a lack of patience and it says that you don’t trust God for His perfect way. Every thing in your life takes FAITH and PATIENCE.
James 1:2-8:

2 Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7 Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

The Veil is Removed!

Grace and Peace!

I thank God for removing the veil from my life!

We don’t have to worry about God’s glory fading away from us, we have the ability to communicate with God our Father and the Holy Spirit helps us to understand Him.

It doesn’t matter what you are going through or how bad it has gotten, you can now live free.  You can give God all of your problems and ask Him to show you the way out of them.  It’s then up to you to get some sleep or some rest while you wait on His answer.  Once you receive the answer you can then run and get it done, but you don’t have to worry.

God’s Glory won’t fade like it did in Moses’ day.  If you stay connected, He will stay right there and give you peace in the middle of that problem.  He will bless you if you believe Him for the blessing!

He wants to to bless you and that is why He removed the veil!

Trust Him for your happiness today!

2 Corinthians 3:7-18:

7 The old way,[a] with laws etched in stone, led to death, though it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses’ face. For his face shone with the glory of God, even though the brightness was already fading away. 8 Shouldn’t we expect far greater glory under the new way, now that the Holy Spirit is giving life? 9 If the old way, which brings condemnation, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new way, which makes us right with God! 10 In fact, that first glory was not glorious at all compared with the overwhelming glory of the new way. 11 So if the old way, which has been replaced, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new, which remains forever!

12 Since this new way gives us such confidence, we can be very bold.13 We are not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so the people of Israel would not see the glory, even though it was destined to fade away. 14 But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. 15 Yes, even today when they read Moses’ writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand.

16 But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

The Bible says,

Psalm 63:7-9 (KJV)

Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

We all experience forlorn moments in our lives.  In this scripture we are reminded that God is our help, he doesn’t leave us. We don’t have to feel hopeless, sad, depressed, rejected or live in despair.

Living day by day with forlorn thoughts and actions can truly be a thing of the past.  We no longer have to be subject to our circumstances and situations.  Love the good in your life and place God at the forefront of everything by following Him.  Trust and watch Him to take care of you!
