Seek God!

Recap: Isaiah 55:6-13
There’s a blessing in seeking God. I was blessed with a powerful lesson as a young woman. I was taught to look for God like I would look for the keys to my own brand new car. The book of Hebrews teaches us that God rewards those who diligently seek Him. Here in Isaiah, it says to seek him while He may be found. The truth is, seek God NOW! Now is the acceptable time. Verse 7 days let the wicked forsake his way. Give it up. When the doctor tells you to give up something to save your life, what do you do? GIVE IT UP! The verse continues by saying return to God and He will forgive you. Do you need forgiveness? I sure do, every. single. day! Verses 8-11 explains why we should do this. It’s because we don’t know God’s thoughts. We don’t know what He has in store for us, so it’s better to do His will today and don’t delay. Verses 12-13 explains the promises of God for our lives when we seek Him with pour while hearts and obey Him with everything in us.

Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously. “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord . “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. “The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees of the field will clap their hands! Where once there were thorns, cypress trees will grow. Where nettles grew, myrtles will sprout up. These events will bring great honor to the Lord ’s name; they will be an everlasting sign of his power and love.”

Confession

Another look at today’s scripture. James encourages us to confess our sins as a way of confronting the fact that our sins are unlike God. Confession helps us to deal with the issue while being honest that there’s a problem. When we uncover a problem we begin to look at how to solve it. When we confess our sins and pray for one another we begin the healing process. When we seriously pray the power of God in us causes change to occur. James gives us the example of Elijah. Elijah suffered depression and look at the results of his prayer life! Prayer really is powerful when we believe God!

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.
James 5:16‭-‬18 NLT

Don’t let any situation that you go through try to convince you that you can’t learn or that you can’t grow.  It doesn’t matter what happened you can learn something new and wonderful today!

Are You Ready 4 the Summer?

A Prayer Just for You!

Give God the glory because you did it!

1 extra minute a day led to today’s 30 minutes.

How fitting to spend today’s 30 minutes reading, thinking about and spending time with God concerning a prayer!?

You’ve worked your spiritual muscles and taught yourself how to go to God every single day. Continue and watch Him work in your life!

I love you and God loves you so much more.

The prayer…

May He grant you out of the riches of His glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through His Spirit in your inner self, [indwelling your innermost being and personality], so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love, be fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love]; and [that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself]. Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.

Be the Blessed Person You Can Be!

In 29 Minutes today grow into the blessed person that you are!

Read Deuteronomy 28 today.  God for an attitude of obedience and victory. This chapter makes it plain. When we obey God, we will be blessed, when we don’t, the consequences are terrible.  Ask God to reveal to you how to walk in obedience so that his blessings may overtake you.

Thank God for the blessing that comes with obedience. For me, this has been a rough month, but God is BLESSING me over and over again for just staying close to Him!

Have a great day in God!

We Need God!

It’s A 28 minute type of day! Enough time to read, pray about it, read it again, meditate on it, apply it to your life and then act on it!

How often do we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us? We need the God and His Holy Spirit in EVERY part of our lives!

I can definitely say that I don’t allow it enough. I beg God to help me in this area all day long. Here are biblical instructions…

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses. When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.

Galatians 5:16‭-‬26 NLT

Live Life to the Fullest!

For your 27 Minutes today, meditate on this exhortation.

My prayer is that this word encourages you to live your life to the fullest in Christ Jesus.

Break down a verse at a time and apply it to your life.  Pray that God will give you the strength to live according to this word.  Ask for forgiveness for the times that you’ve fallen short, even if it already happened today.  Ask God to show you how to walk in love and peace towards every single person that you see.  Ask God to plant this word in you.  Read this scripture out loud.  Write it out so that you will remember it.

Don’t forget to thank God for Him being God, for Him giving this Word, for His Son Jesus and for the Holy Ghost.
